Why did I want to become a team rider for Takoon?
I've been using Takoon kites since the first Bow kite came out and have always been surprised why there are so few of these kites around. I jumped at the chance to get involved so I can now promote the Takoon brand even more! This has motivated me to get out more, do more and progress my kitesurfing and help other people with theirs.

How long have I been Kitesurfing?
I bought my first C kite about 6 years ago, although during the first 3 years I hardly went out. I then changed kites and since then I try and get out on the water whenever I can.

What kit have I used in the past?
Before I started kitesurfing, back in the late eighties I knew a guy in South Africa who made parachutes. As a hobby he made these huge parachute looking foil kites.. So my first kite was a 2 line 10m foil kite which I would bare foot ski down the beach with.
My first 'real' kite was a F-One Dream 12m C kite which I got with a 158 Litewave board. Neither of these saw much action!
Then the Bow kites appeared and I bought the 12m Takoon Nova 1 which took me a little getting used to, but once I did it was awesome! I started getting out so much more. I then got a 7m Nova 2 with the improved bar setup which I could use with the 12m as well. I then had to get a new board, so went for a Nobile T5.

What gear am I using now?
I've just got the 9m Furia Ltd and the 12m Chrono. Still using the Nobile T5 but hoping to get the Takoon 5'8" Burning soon so I get out in the surf.

Where do I ride?
My closest spot is Calshot, but I do like to go to North Devon and Cornwall whenever I can.
